Who We Are

A Society Built by Surgeons, for Surgeons

The International Society of Colo-Proctology (ISCP) brings together surgeons who share a common focus on colorectal surgery. It was formed on 21st October 2012 in Jaipur, under the guidance of Dr. S. D. Chivate, Dr. Dinesh Jindel, Dr. J. C. Baid and Dr. Pradeep Sharma — with Dr. Chivate taking on the role of President and Dr. Dinesh Shah as Honorary Secretary.

The Society set out with a clear purpose: to promote and spread the advancement of colorectal surgery throughout India and beyond. Its early membership was modest, but steady, transparent work grew that number into a nationwide network of surgeons pooling their experience for the benefit of their peers and their patients.

Today, ISCP stands as a recognised voice in the field — channelling the collective knowledge of its members into training, fellowship and shared clinical practice across the country.
