Our Objectives
What ISCP Is Working Toward
India's surgeons already stand alongside the best in the world in skill and experience — with patient volumes and specialist numbers that give the country an unusual capacity to build and share knowledge quickly. Advances in colorectal surgery mean shorter recovery and a faster return to work, which matters most for patients who depend on a daily wage. ISCP's aim is to carry that quality of surgery into every corner of India, including its poorest and most remote areas.
The Society also wants to see local manufacturers supply equipment at prices that keep treatment affordable and within reach of ordinary patients, and to build a shared, high standard of training and practice nationwide — starting with an honest audit of where members currently stand.
ISCP sees itself as a growing, dynamic body that will keep shaping the future of colorectal surgery and its supporting technology in India, and it invites surgeons to join and add their strength to that effort — refining their own skills in the process and, in turn, offering patients better, more advanced care.
